For Aircraft
Kanto Aircraft Instrument offers equipment and instruments essential for the operation of aircraft, mechatronics, such as gyros, instruments, and avionics electronic equipment, which enable highly precise detection of the attitude and azimuth of aircraft. In addition, since we launched the production of flight data recorders for military use for the first time in the country in 1994, our devices have been used in numerous military aircraft, contributing to the investigation of the causes of aircraft accidents and the improvement of flight safety.
By making use of the skills and experience we have developed over many years, we strive to continue the development of instruments for aircraft that increasingly demand high functionality and diversification, as well as to provide instruments that effectively use aircraft information, including the health and usage monitoring system (HUMS) to monitor the health of aircraft, and mission data recorders.
Flight Data Recorder
As a top domestic manufacturer of flight data recorders (FDR), our devices have been adopted by the Air Self-Defense Force, Maritime Self-Defense Force, and the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force. The utilization of common equipment allows us to meet the diverse needs of customers and provide software in conformity to the different specifications of data recording that vary by aircraft type. In addition to the investigation of the causes of accidents, we offer ground support equipment that uses flight data for maintenance and flight operations.

Health and Usage Monitoring System
Monitoring the health of engines and major components of a rotary-wing airplane is vital in operating and maintaining aircraft in an efficient manner. In 2002, we delivered Japan's first full-scale HUMS system to helicopters operated by the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force. Since then, we have achieved satisfactory results as a pioneer in health and use monitoring systems.
Avionics Electronic Equipment
We independently developed a number of aviation system information processing units with the main facilities of sending/receiving signals, monitoring, and moderation system bus between instruments, thanks to the digital signal processing technology, high-speed serial data transmission, and interface technology for sensor signals implemented on aircraft.
We also develop and provide a number of instruments, including the cockpit display unit, warning light panel, and control sticks, Tactical air navigation which is a compact-size, lightweight radio navigation device used to calculate the distance and direction to a ground station, as well as other aircraft, which are intended to communicate with pilots.
Telemeter for missile
Telemeters are installed on missiles to wirelessly transmit flight data to a ground base in real time. Our unique technology allows us to downsize, trim weight, and give superior performance to a telemeter. We also offer a ground data sink and analyzer.
Gyro
Kanto Aircraft Instrument is a trusted manufacturer and provider of attitude heading reference systems, which enable highly precise detection of the azimuth and attitude of aircraft, acceleration sensors, inertial sensors, and other gyro units. In addition to the traditional precision instrument-type gyro, our lineup includes a quartz rate sensor (QRS) with a quartz crystal oscillation element. QRS is characterized by its compact size and light weight, and we deliver an array of products that make full use of the characteristics.
Battery Monitoring Unit
We have successfully developed a lithium-ion battery-monitoring unit for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which maintains a constant vigil on the voltage, electric current, temperature, and failure of batteries, ensuring the safety of a lithium-ion battery.
